Last week was our book week at Burnham School. We all had lots of activities and things to do!

Last week was a busy week with a lot going for book week. We had some amazing books from Scholastic in the library on display to buy. The children all visited and made a wish list to take home. Families could then contact Trish in the office to buy these. With the sales from these the school was able to buy some new and exciting books too.

We had an explore the door competition where each class chose a book theme to decorate their door. Trish then played our judge and picked a winning door. Congratulations to Rūma Kereru for their "The Wild Robot".

Each class was visited by two amazing authors. The seniors were lucky to have Claire Aramakutu come in and share her Loopy Lucy books. The juniors were visited by Sarina Dickson who shared her The Fairies Night Before Christmas book. Both authors shared what is like to be an author and answered all of our children's questions.

The week ended with a grand parade of all the classes and their costumes. The children (and families) put a lot of effort into getting into character, and congratulations to our costume winners Peter D, Henry D, Layken P, Maverick, Amber L & Amelia A.
