Learning Celebration

Mel Taite-Pitama —

At the end of last term we had learning celebrations over two afternoons and evenings. We had excellent engagement from whānau which enables us to have a much stronger relationships aligned with learning.

At the learning celebrations whānau, kaiako and ākonga discussed goals in literacy/te reo matatini, maths/pāngarau, Te Reo Māori and our school values. We shared progress and areas that also need to be improved.

We try to work in unity for whānau, tamaiti and kaiako to support the teaching and learning in the classroom and talk about possible learning opportunities where we can all be working together.

By now your child's kaiako should have shared the Ara Ako (personalised learning plan) with you so that you are able to be talking about this at home.
