North Canterbury Kapahaka Celebration - Teina/Junior Group

Tuahiwi School —

IMPORTANT PĀNUI FOR NEXT WEEK’S KAPAHAKA ORGANISATION - Teina/Junior

Next Thursday 5th of Hepetema, our tamariki will be performing at Ohoka School Hall. Please read the following information so that you know what is happening and can have your child/ren in the right place at the right time.

Night Show - Start time 6pm.

All tamariki need to be back at the Ohoka School Hall by 5.30pm. The doors will be locked until then.

Tuahiwi Juniors (Year 0-4).

Our juniors will be opening the show at 6pm. We will be on time, so don’t be late. If your child is not there we will not be waiting. Juniors need to come directly to the green room, the room to the side of the stage. This is where the kaiako will be waiting.

After the juniors perform we encourage all whānau to stay and support our seniors.

It is important that the tamariki remain seated together in the audience. It is not acceptable for them to be running around. If you are going to take your child/ren then you MUST tell the kaiako. We do not want to be responsible for lost tamariki.

Whānau can help at home by making sure the following is sorted before kura:

Girls - Hair neat, tidy and half up half down hairstyle. Taonga attached and on. Smiles ready to go!

Boys - Black underwear on. Hair brushed. Taonga attached and on. Pukana ready to go!

Other things to note -

We are hoping that this will be a good fundraiser for us so we are asking you to help with a couple of things:

1. Can you please donate home baking. This needs to be at school on Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning. Please help us to make sure there is heaps of baking to sell as this is a great money maker.

2. If you still have things for the raffles you can still drop these things off to us. We need lots more to make this happen.

3. Please look after our uniforms if they come home. They are worth a lot of money.

4. Bring cash! There will be kai to buy and raffles too.

If you need to know anything else please ask your child’s kaiako.
