Our new Kaiako leading Te Ruma Kiwi

Kia Ora Tuahiwi Kura community.  My name is Matua Reece and I am the new Kaiako here at Tuahiwi in the Kiwi class. I am from Otepoti (Dunedin) however I whakapapa back to Tainui up north in the Waikato. I am in my third year of teaching and I have previously taught in Cheviot, Kaikoura and in East Christchurch. I have really enjoyed my time so far at Tuahiwi and it has been great getting to know the tamariki, the staff at kura and the Whanau. One thing I really enjoy about being a teacher is getting to know the children and seeing them grow as learners. I would like to thank everyone for their warm welcome and I look forward to meeting more Whanau and getting to know you all better in the not too distant future.
