Next week on Tuesday, 5th July, the Tuakana Year 5-8 are off to the One Day Winter Sports Tournament!

Next week, we are off to participate in the One Day Winter Sports Tournament. This tournament involves most of the kura from all around North Canterbury! For those children that have opted in, we are participating in Netball, Hockey and Football. We are lucky enough to be catching a bus to and from the venues. Football is being played at Maria Andrews Park at Coldstream Road, the hockey at the hockey fields at Coldstream Road and netball is at the Dudley Courts. Each team has a kaiako with them to tautoko them for the day, but we would love to see you there if you are free! Tauira will be reminded of their chosen sport this week so that over the weekend they can get their gear ready (mouthguards are a must for hockey and football - super cheap at the Rangiora Sport Shop in Flaxton Road! They will also need chin pads if you have them). The day kicks off at 9:30am and finishes at approximately 2:30pm. Those not attending will be able to carry on with their normal learning programme.
