Staffing Announcement 2020

Mel Taite-Pitama —

We have finally secured our final staff member of the team starting in February 2020 and we are pretty excited!

Next year we will welcome several new staff members to the team and can now announce our final staff member to the team.

Nau mai, haere mai Crisanna Nel. Crisanna has several years of teaching and leadership experience in schools across the country and has most recently been teaching in the bilingual provision at Rangiora Borough School. Crisanna, her husband and her three boys all live in Rangiora and we are excited to have her join us. Crisanna will teach in the Year 5,6 Puaka class.

As I have said before Matua Kiwhakiwha (Whitireia Year 6,7,8) and Whaea Andrea (Whitireia Year 0,1,2)  are also joining us next year as replacements for Rangi and Awhina.

We have also secured Jo Hall as a Learning Support Coordinator. Jo will work with our tamariki and whānau that need additional support. She will work closely with Whaea Andrea who will lead our Diverse Education role. Jo will also work at Clarkville Primary School 2.5 days a week.

Fleur West will join our team from Ashgrove Primary School as a release teacher. She is a very experienced kaiako who has a background in teaching secondary maths. Fleur will cover the release that the kaiako are legally entitled to every week and Jess's release as the Deputy Principal. We are lucky to have someone of Fleur's experience with us.

We also have a new reading recovery kaiako starting with us next year too. Darnelle will work with three tamariki in Rachael's class every day to try and accelerate reading. Darnelle is also employed at St Josephs in Rangiora.

Please join me in welcoming our new staff on our first day of whole school learning Tuesday February 4th, 9am in Tūranga.
