Whaea Anita:
Tēnā koutou! Ko Anita tōku ingoa.
I will be working in all classes this year as I have a mixture of teaching roles within the kura. I am looking forward to working with you and getting to know the tamariki. This year will be my first year teaching, having graduated late last year from The University of Canterbury.
Te Kura o Tuahiwi was my final placement school, working with Whaea Rach in Te Rūma Kererū, and I truly fell in love with tamariki and whānau. I feel incredibly fortunate to be in such a supportive environment with an incredibly dedicated and passionate group of kaiako.
My husband and I along with our three beautiful children are about to leave dairy farming for life in the ‘big smoke’ (Rangiora). This will be quite a change for all of us but an exciting start of new careers for both myself and Leon.
I was born and raised on a sheep, beef, and crop farm in Waiau, North Canterbury. I enjoy animals, music, and the uniqueness of rural North Canterbury.
Ngā mihi nui
