Join our facebook live on Monday 13th April at 10am to listen to and ask questions about Tuahiwi School's approach to distance learning.

E mihi ana ki a koutou kua noho haumaru i tēnei wā. Kei te mihi hoki ahau ki ngā tāngata o tō mātou hapori e mahi tonu ana kia manaaki, kia atawhai i a tātou. Mauri ora.

I hope you have had a somewhat restful holiday over the past two weeks and are keeping safe and healthy.

Over the past two weeks I have tried to keep kura communications as quiet as I could to let you all and our kaiako have a break over the school holidays/isolation time. We have tried not to send emails or use our fb page to take some pressure off everyone over this unprecedented time. This is not a time to overwhelm anyone.

I know you are all doing awesome mahi with your tamariki teaching them to make their beds, wash the dishes, walking the community counting tetipea and cooking kai. I also know that for many of you this time will have also been challenging your patience and aroha.

In the live fb stream on Monday I will be discussing what our plan is for the 6 proposed days of distance learning, how we will be working with you and our ākonga and what you can expect from us. I will also discuss the Ministry of Education plan.

This will also be a good time for you to ask any pātai. You can ask questions by typing them in the comments box.

The facebook live will remain on our facebook to be watched at a later time for those of you who are essential workers or need to watch at a different time.

Please let your Tuahiwi whānau networks know about the live stream so we can get lots of whānau connecting at the same time.

Arohanui to you all.
