Even though we are only in Term 1 there are lots of things that happen for our Year 7 and 8 tamariki over the year starting as early at this term. It is helpful if whānau know what their plans are for our tamariki for their secondary transition as early as possible as this all helps for a smooth transition. Kaiapoi High School has given us a guideline to look at for 2021.
Term 1 - Pre Open Night Visits to all contributing schools from SLT and Head Students including year 9 students.
Term 2 - Open Night.
Term 3 - Enrolments close August.
Term 3 and 4 - Principal holds coffee and cake meetings with Parents at contributing schools with Head Students.
Term 4 - Interviews with Teacher, Student, Parents/Caregivers.
Term 4 - Experience Day.
Term 4 - High Needs and at risk visits to KHS.
Term 4 - Entrance Testing.
Term 1 2022 - Pōwhiri -Orientation over 2 days.
