On Tuesday 12th December, Te Kura o Tuahiwi will celebrate the learning and skills of our ākonga as well as the history of the kura.

Te Kura o Tuahiwi was established in 1863 and this year marks 160 years of schooling taking place. To whakamana this, Tuesday 12th December will be a day of displays and fun for our current ākonga, our past ākonga, their whānau and our wider hapori.

The day will include interactive activities (bouncy castle anyone?!), displays of learning in our akomanga, a special Jubilee tribute to ākonga throughout the years as well as kapa haka performances from all three rōpū and the final of our annual Tuahiwi Taonga talent quest.

Spread the word to whānau you know have come to Tuahiwi in the past and mark the date in your wātaka | calendar as we can't wait to wecome you all for the day.

Check out the wātaka below to see what's happening and when.
