Back to normal..............✈

Amanda Wright —

What is normal? Are we back to the way things used to be?

For many of us, we refer to getting back to the way things used to be. Covid and lockdowns have taught us that this has been a time of total reset.

Many schools have used this time to update their practices, procedures, and in some cases, staff. While this has been a challenging journey for many, it also has enormous positives. Sometimes we get so busy with the day-to-day runnings of life that we never get the chance to stop and take a breath. Having a forced break in the last few years has allowed many people and schools to take that breath and re-set themselves. Now we are entering a new stage. This is an exciting and refreshing time for many of us. It has given us time to look at how we run our programmes, update all our procedures and look at how we want our school to look going forward.

We have been working hard at Darfield on a new website and brochure. The brochure will be available soon as a digital copy and a paper version. This has been an exciting project for us. With the new re-branding of Darfield High, it was essential to keep this consistent with all our marketing material. It is a chance to re-launch the school's unique offering for its community and overseas visitors. For many people, the website and brochure will be the first glimpse they will have of our school and its beautiful surroundings. We will be launching our new Video of our High School next month. Again this will be a chance for people to see the rural aspect we offer as well as being so close to a major city.

We look forward to taking our new friends and old on this new stage of the new "normal" and reconnecting with so many people we have missed.
