Whaea Niki has been working alongside Whaea Bee & also Matua Kadin with the Malvern Kapa Haka group - preparing for Matariki in Malvern. This is incredible taonga, drawing the primary tamariki together across Malvern and getting a head start for kapa haka at DHS. The DHS kapa haka have been outstanding, helping and supporting the Malvern group over and above their own kapa haka at school - they do kapa haka period 5, then continue til 5:00pm after school supporting the Malvern group. Tino pai to mahi. 

This year we have a very strong contribution from DHS in art work being exhibited, kapa haka being represented in both groups & others supporting hands-on activities & whaikōrero.
