Whānau Hui and kapa haka celebration Wed 6 Sept 2023, 4pm in the Hall

Te Kura Tuarua o Tawera —

We are pleased to invite all members of our Māori community, and all those interested in kapa haka and te ao Māori, to our Whānau Hui.● Kapa haka has been in two groups - DHS seniors and Malvern juniors - and both will be performing● Our M3 Mindfulness group will explain what they’ve been doing and we’ll present their certificates● Janelle Riki-Waaka has been holding wānanga and will be offering a short session aimed at whānau as well as promoting our further wānanga / learning opportunities● We want to further discuss our aspirations to create a dedicated whare for Māori at DHS● We’re looking for a “Rōpu Whakahaere” (a volunteer group to oversee/support kapa haka and te ao Māori) for our Malvern Kāhui Ako● Our Board would love some feedback and any suggestions - Natalie Peters will be there to listen● Resources for te reo Māori - help yourself and clear the shelves in Kākāpōtahi (books and even oldtapes to take away if you want)● We’d love to hear any feedback
