Reporting Absences/Sick Students

Please let us know if your student is going to be absent. To report an absence, telephone the school on 318 8411 and leave a message, or email absences@darfield.school.nz

School Buses

Any changes to your student's normal daily bus routine should be communicated directly with our Bus Controller, Amy Tangney, via email at@darfield.school.nz She will contact you directly only if there is an issue with the change.

School Bank Account

Darfield High School ASB Bank Limited, Riccarton 12-3147-0207317-00 Please include the student’s name and the reason for the payment, eg Camp Fees. This information is also on the Contact Us page of the school website.

Reminder for Bus Students

When students arrive at school in the morning, they should go to school and not elsewhere. Students are not permitted to go into Darfield to get their lunch or buy any other food/drink items. Once the students are on the bus, we are responsible for their safety and that is why they are to enter the school when they get off the bus.

Lost Property

Please can you get your students to come and take a look if they know something has been misplaced. Parents are most welcome to come and check the clothing and items at Student Administration.

Students are reminded to place canteen orders at intervals, for lunchtime pickup.

Visiting Darfield High School

If you are visiting the school during the school day, please come to Administration Block | Tī Kōuka on arrival and our friendly office staff will then assist you.

It is important that we have your correct contact details; please let us know of any changes. 

Checking DHS Emails

It is important that you are receiving emails sent from Dafield High School. Any emails with @darfield.school.nz or @darfield.school.kiwi need to be whitelisted or added to "not spam" or safe sender. Sometimes bulk emails end up in promotions or your spam folder. It is important that we have your correct contact details; please let us know of any changes.
