Roller Skates and Skateboards

Last Thursday the Year 7 classes had their first Outdoor Activity for the William Pike Challenge. The students went across to the Darfield Skate Park and worked with George from Cheapskates Skateschool to learn some tricks, tips and for some have their first go on a skateboard. Students then had a go at Roller Skating at the Darfield Recreation Centre with Ingrid from Phatsk8. Students put themselves out of the comfort zones and took risks and built confidence through these activities. It was great to see all the students getting involved, hearing the laughter and seeing the smiles as they challenged themselves.
