Butterflies dominate on the road, get on their first winning streak!
Solid defense, sharp offensive, simply beautiful basketball. #ButterfliesBasketball
The Butterflies have started a win streak with their second victory of the season against Hagley Community College, winning 33-10.
The win propels the Butterflies into the Top 4 of their Division, with another road game this week at Cashmere High School to further cement their placing.
Player of the Day was split between Lani Atutolu and Grace McPhee. Lani was solid on defense, blocking shots and dominating the rebounding. Grace continues to shine for the Butterflies, continuing to do things that often go unrecognised such as making good passes, helping on defense and supporting her teammates.
Coach Lee addressed the media following the game, commenting largely that it was a feisty fixture but the girls kept their composure and got the job done. He's proud that what they're working on in practice is coming through in the games.
