12 Canterbury high schools battled it out at the Year 9 Readers' Cup at Tūranga. Our DHS team has been working hard together since last term and on Tuesday night their mahi paid off when they were awarded 3rd place! Congratulations to Emma McNeil, Kaitlyn Craigie, Jayden Hitchcock and Luka Ruddenklau.

Cashmere High School won the competition, and they will head off to Auckland for the National finals, and Villa Maria was second. Well done all competitors and also a special mention to our team - the organisers were very impressed with our DHS students - they were the last to stay behind and did the pack up. Ka mau te wehi!
