Craigieburn Range and Trig M

Iroquois Ross and Liam Stanbury —

At the beginning of this week, 12OED went on an overnight tramp through the Cragieburn Range. We stayed overnight in huts built by ourselves with tarps and sticks. We had to make sure we built it well so we did not freeze. We made sure we packed adequate clothing to reduce the chance of having to use things like a heat blanket, bothy bag and other things as a last resort to increase our temperature.

The Tuesday prior to this trip, we did a day trek up the Trig M track. This is located on Porters pass by Lake Lyndon. This took us around 4 hours to complete. This day tramp helped us get an idea of what the track was like, how to navigate and orientate our maps and practice reading a Topo50 map.
