The first group of 17 Pathways and Gateway students took part in their Advanced Work-Based First Training course on Friday, 03 March, with Darfield High School's preferred first aid training provider, Life Care Consultants Limited. Students completed the theory and practical requirements of a compulsory set of unit standards to qualify as workplace first aiders for the next two years. Former student and professional workplace first aid trainer, Thomas Meder, led the students through their challenging eight and a half hour learning and assessment. The second and third first aid groups are set to complete their qualifications in Term 2.
