NCEA Derived Grade Examinations (Mocks)

Good luck to all Year 11-13 students taking part in Derived Grade Examinations next week.

Exams are scheduled for Monday to Thursday next week with Friday being used as catch-ups for missed exams.

Morning sessions are 9.00 am - 12.00 pm. Afternoon sessions are 1.00 pm - 4.00 pm. Please organise transport home if necessary. If you do not have an exam you should stay at home studying, or work in Room E5. Students should arrive 20 minutes before the start of an exam (they will normally start to be seated 15 minutes before the start time). Most exams have a minimum length of 1 hour per paper being sat and a maximum time of 3 hours. Students do not need to be at school on Friday unless they have a re-scheduled exam.

You should bring into the exam, in a clear plastic bag: pens (working, black and blue), pencils, eraser, an approved calculator (if allowed).

These important exams are used for practice, feedback and feed-forward. In case of the need of Derived Grades for individuals or whole cohorts due to an unexpected event the results of these exams are sent to NZQA and are used to determine Derived Grades.
