Shona's farewell dinner-Bensons Resturant

International end of term activity and Farewell dinner.

Last night we had our end of term activity. We chose to go to the Escape room in town followed by a Chinese dinner.

Each term we take out students for an activity. This term we combined this activity with Shona's farewell from the students and homestays. We had a fantastic turnout and managed to fill the restaurant with our current and past students. We were also joined by our lovely homestays and some friends of the International department.

Shona has been at DHS for 22 years and she has met hundreds of students over those years. She is going to be missed by the International Department and our current students who are very fond of her. We wish her well with her retirement and we thank her for the work she has done over the years to make this such a successful department at DHS.

We have a  busy Term 3 ahead of us with new students arriving and a short-term Japanese group visiting us for three weeks. We are getting many enquires for students next year already and we are looking forward to a successful year for our department. It is also wonderful to be accepting longer-stay students who are choosing to study with us for more than a year.
