End of term is approaching so don't miss out on your holiday reading, pizza wheel and free book Friday!

The popular graphic novels shelves are getting empty but there are plenty of new books and old favourites to choose from.  Ask a librarian if you are stuck for ideas for your holiday reading - we are happy to give you lots of options:)

Many of our year 7 and 8 students have entered into the Hell Reading Challenge.  This is a well-established programme that has been hugely successful in getting tamariki reading and enjoying the pleasures of stories — with the bonus of free pizza rewards!  Students get their pizza wheel from our library and once they have read a book they tell our librarians about it and receive a stamp on their wheel. Once they have read seven books they can exchange their completed pizza wheel for a free 333 kids’ pizza at Hell Pizza. 

Don't forget to all students can enter our Free Book Friday competition. It's easy, just go to dhslibrary.nz, click on the competition button and enter your name and class. Strictly one entry each.  Entries close Thursday 11th April.
