Welcoming our students to Darfield high School

This term we will welcome 35 students to our International program. These students range from a short-stay group of Three weeks to long-stay students of Three years.

Each Monday at lunchtime we will hold an International Club, This will be a chance for us to catch up on the week along with having some guest speakers. Thank you to our senior students this week who came along to teach us about Endeavour Day. We also had fun listening and learning the chant of each house colour.

International club welcomes any students who are new to DHS and English may be their second language.

We also had a wonderful visit from our good friends from Yasuda Gakuen School and it was lovely to see their Principal visiting Canterbury again. We value our relationship with this school and welcome their students each year.

Three of our students signed up for Dragon boat racing this term. It was so good to see and hear about their first night of training. What an amazing experience for them to participate in and being in a Team sport is one of the best ways to make friends and a great way to practise English.
