Work Experience at Absolute Homes.

This week we met with Riane onsite, to check the progress of the new build he is currently working on.

Riane has been putting his practical skills to use while working with local building company Absolute Homes. He commented that it is good to be putting the skills and knowledge he is gaining at Ara, into additional practical use.

It is busy onsite, with two neighbouring new builds being worked on at the same time. Riane has found himself completing a variety of tasks, including insulating window framing, bolting structural framework, removing doorway bottom plates and putting plywood in place, using the nail gun.

It was wonderful for our careers department to receive the following feedback from the project manager;

"I had a call from our Foreman saying he was very impressed with how Riane was going and that he is a really hard worker. We would be happy to have Riane back when we are working in the area, he got along with the guys and was a really good help. We really appreciate his hard work, he showed a lot of interest and great work ethic and I feel with this, he will go along way in the industry".

Once again we sincerely thank all our local business's that are supporting and providing our work experience students with an invaluable learning opportunity.
