Angela Early Peony

A very special Peony

Canterbury peony breeder Paul Simmons has created a beautiful white peony called Angela Early named after his great niece who is a student here at DHS.

After 17 years of breeding and propagating the peony has just been registered with the American Peony Society. Angela has Down Syndrome and Autism and ever since she was born Paul and Esther wanted to use her name for one of their specially bred peonies. This early flowering peony is pure white from the start and has a beautiful bud as it opens. The peony is not for sale at the moment but we look forward to being able to plant one in our sensory garden in the future.

Angie Early

Angela loves to spend time in the garden and likes to give bunches of flowers away to friends.
