Cars, cars, cars ...

Year 11 Gateway students, Harley Scobie and Ryan Partington, spent three days this week at Avon City Ford Training Services in Christchurch, each completing a nine credit Gateway Introduction to the Workplace block course.

They both thoroughly enjoyed the practical side of course, saying that working on cars (all day) practising mechanical and servicing skills was 'awesome'. Harley and Ryan are looking forward to practising their new knowledge and skills at work placements in the automotive industry. Harley and Ryan are also foundation dual enrolled students with the Tawera Rural College Agriculture Academy.
