Coast to Coast 2023

Team #852. Wow, what a weekend, packed full of anticipation, nerves, excitement, hard work, self belief, relief and an enormous sense of achievement.

We are so proud of you guys - one coast to the other in 13 hours, 21 minutes and 34 seconds to finish in 3rd place in the school mixed grade - just a mere 50 seconds between 2nd and 3rd from Waimea College! 19th Overall in the 3 person 2 day grade out of 102 teams that participated - fantastic effort to get into the top 20!

A huge thank you to the families who supported you throughout the last few months, I am sure it would have been trying at times, but that family support is what drives our students to do their best.

Also great work by Oscar Lochore to finish 2nd in the Mountain Run for the School Boys Grade and 21st overall.
It was great to have so many people following the team on their journey, whether it be in at the finish line of each stage, following them on the app or Darfield High School Sport facebook page or sending them your best wishes.

The anticipation for next years Coast to Coast is here already - lets aim for two teams! Can't wait!
