University of Otago Māori Student Scholarship now open: WHAI Physics

The University of Otago, Māori Health Workforce Development Unit is pleased to inform you that applications for the Māori Scholarship Programme: WHAI Physics are open.

WHAI Physics supports Māori students who are interested in a career in health to prepare for the PHSI191 Biological Physics paper, as part of Health Sciences First Year (HSFY). The Scholarship covers; tuition fees for the University of Otago JumpSTART Physics programme, residential college accommodation for the duration of the JumpSTART course, and additional resources, tutorials and academic support throughout enrolment in PHSI191.

The Scholarship has three main criteria: Students must have Māori Whakapapa, show a commitment to pursue Health Sciences study and a career in health, and have met the entry requirements for the University of Otago JumpSTART Physics course.

In addition to submitting a WHAI Physics Scholarship application, students must also submit an application to the JumpSTART Physics course. For further information please refer to the link below – Applications also available via the link.
