Des Hunt - Master of the Metaphor!
Des Hunt, author, scientist and teacher, spent time at DHS entertaining Year 7 and 8 in the ways of developing a good story.
Through a variety of science experiments, Des taught us a lot about chemistry and physics and illustrated how important the different stages of a story are to keeping a reader interested. Through explosions, electrical charges and momentum we could see how a good hook, creating tension and taking a ray gun when editing your writing, can create a good read.
