Secondary Schools Clay Shooting Competition

Monday 20 August, Luka, Ryan and myself attended the secondary school clay shooting competition at the Meade Te Perita club.

The conditions on the day were mostly good, with just a bit of a cold breeze.

There was a large number of schools being represented, including Lincoln, Ellesmere, St Andrews, St Kevins, Christs College and Waimate.

On the day there were 17 squads in total. I managed to make the shoot off, after shooting 9/10 for single barrel. This has been my best result so far, in my first year of clay shooting.

Luka and Ryan also did well. I would like to thank Mr Jackson along with members of the Darfield clay shooting club that help and support us at practice and club days, Murray, Ross, Duncan, Rupert, and Brodie.

We have our last secondary school event coming up at Waihora which we are all looking forward to.
