Mana Wāhine Trade Event
This event is an opportunity to learn about the trades and how to get started, meet local employers and apprentices and hear what is currently happening in the construction industry.
Guest speakers for the evening include:
Dr Terelle Hegarty researcher of the "Glass Scaffold" project which explores women’s experiences of working and responding to construction industry conditions.
Jasmin Lawrence Project Manager for BUILDhers a first in New Zealand, this project is an all-female-built home with over 40+ tradeswomen involved.
NAWIC encourages women to pursue, establish and sustain successful careers in the construction industry. Our vision is to be the leading voice for women in this sector.
