International Languages Week

Last week the Culture Committee organised International Language Week, celebrating cultures and promoting their languages. On Monday, we started an activity " Find a flag" , students needed to say " How are you " in different languages and then, if they said it correctly, teachers gave them a signature on the challenge sheet. A big thank you to those teachers who participated in the countries' flags worn during the week.

On Tuesday, we had a chalk drawing outside the library, where students were able to draw some culture-inspired drawings. On Wednesday, we had a huge crowd in the hall for the last day of the Talent Show, which was a big success! On Thursday, we had an international display, with the help of the senior Japanese class, in the hall where there were many countries, including Thailand, Japan, South Korea and Germany, which all had some interesting facts about the countries. Students could come in and indulge in cultures from around the world whilst filling out a passport! On Friday, we made a Kahoot available during form time to test what students learnt throughout the week.
