Shave for a Cure

This year we have 11 students and staff participating in Shave for a Cure. So far we have raised $4,251 which means that we are just about halfway to our goal of $10,000. This year Riley Leslie, Leo Tucker, Arran, Tyler Barlett, Faye Sharratt, Rhyan Manson, MacKenzie Butler, Cory Frew, Mr McDonald, Mr England and Mrs Whyte have signed up to participate. Hi guys,

If you don't know me I am Riley a 10-year-old girl shaving her head for cancer.

At first, I was hesitating a little bit about whether or not to go through with this whole thing, but once the page went live and the donations started rolling in I knew there was no going back. On the first day, my mum said my goal was $500, then my Dad said since it's a good cause if I made it to $1000 then I could shave his head and beard as well. I was a little skeptical at first, but after school, my mum said she had exciting news. That's when she told me I was over half of my goal at $420 already! I was shocked, keep in mind this was on my first day. On day 4 my total was $886! As a nice way to finish off my first week of fundraising, I got donated $55 bringing my weekly total to $941. So my mum had to change my goal to $1,500 and it looks like we are going to have to buy my Dad a beanie.
