On December 5th and 6th our school is working together to put on ‘Minecraft the Musical’ as a school production.

The storyline of this show is about a family who do not initially have the best online presence. The son of the family believes he has won an online competition but in reality has been tricked and the whole family become stuck in ‘Minecraft’. The family have to work together to overcome their differences and make changes to their online ‘addictions’. Your child/ren will be working on a musical item that supports the cast through their journey to hopefully set them free!

Each class will be working over the next few months on a musical piece.They will be in costume as various minecraft characters. The costumes will be very low key, however your child/rens classroom teacher may contact you with some simple costume requests (black pants/green shirt etc).

The show will be on for two nights on the 5th and 6th December at the Kaiapoi High School Auditorium. The Show will start at 6:00pm and doors will open at 5:30pm. The cost for you and your family to come and watch will be $2.00 each. It will be door sales only and there is limited seating.

Class items will be practised during class time. We have one full show dress rehearsal on the 5th of December from 12.00-2.30pm. This practise is going to be at the high school auditorium. We have other full school run throughs in our school hall earlier that week.
