Borland Lodge Camp
Last week, Year 6,7 and 8 went to camp at Borland Lodge in Fiordland. We had many fun activities to do!
For quarter of the first day we were on the bus to Borland Lodge (our camp). The bus ride was approximately 3 hours (not including morning tea). Halfway into the bus ride, we stopped at Mossburn for morning tea and to play at the playground to get some break from the road trip. On the bus ride, people were laughing, talking AND EVEN SINGING (mostly everyone joined in). We already had great times on the bus so JUST IMAGINE OUR TIME AT CAMP!
Camp Food!
At camp we ate burgers, hotdogs and nachos for dinner. Our favourite dinner was nachos, because they tasted so good with the melted cheese and crunchy cheese nacho chips! On the day we had nachos, we also got to roast marshmallows on a campfire and turn them into smores. They tasted incredibly good and they were also the first smores we had ever eaten, so they tasted like the most amazing sweet treat in the world. The food at camp was the best!
Camp Activities
At camp, we did lots of activities such as rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, shelter building, archery, cooking, nature hiking, nature photography, ABL (Adventure Based Learning) and more! We did terrifically fun stuff and got to eat some delicious home baking that tasted like heaven.
Thank you, Parents!
We would like to thank all the parents who baked the baking and all the parents who gave up their time to come help us at camp with our AWESOME experience! Overall we all LOVED CAMP and if we had a chance to go again we all would!
