Matariki Learning 2025

Culture —

Our vision for celebrating Matariki this year is to allow all our learners to experience traditional Māori arts and activities.

We’d love to engage with as many of our community as we can to support us with ideas and their time, to lead different activities with our ākonga (learners).

On Tuesday the 10th and Thursday the 12th of June, learners will spend from after morning tea until the end of the day exploring these activities.

At our Matariki school celebration on the 18th of June, we will share this learning with our community.

To make this happen, we need your help!

If you, or someone you know, would be interested in coming to share some Māori art, crafts, games, songs, pūrkākau we would love to hear from you.

You might know someone who could come in and do this in person, or even someone who might video call in with a group.

Please share your ideas with us on this Google Form.
