Whole School Communications

In the event of adverse weather conditions the school will contact parents/caregivers/whānau when it can, using the contact details provided. Depending on the circumstances, our available communication options may include:

• Hero texting/messaging or phoning parents/caregivers
• The Hero school App and our Facebook page
• Updating the school office voice message system 
• Emailing parents/caregivers

When school closure is necessary during school hours Te Kura Whakatipu o Kawarau will ensure that staff and students are kept safe until their departure.
