Book Week - 20-24 February

Learning —

We are all looking forward to our very first Book Week next week.

The goal of book week is to inspire a love of books and story in readers of all ages. We have a range of different book related activities happening across the school over the week but the three main school wide events are:

  • Visiting Author - James Russell: James is visiting us on Monday 20th February to speak about his journey as a writer and to then take a writing workshop with a number of our senior learners.

  • Book Fair: We are so excited to be holding our very first Book Fair next week in our school library. This is a great opportunity to promote a culture of reading amongst our children, while providing them with the opportunity to browse and purchase books. It is also a great opportunity for us to fundraise for our school library as we receive a commission on all sales.

  • Book Character Dress Up Day: On Friday 24 February we are encouraging our learners and staff to come dressed up as their favourite book character. Guaranteed to be a fun filled day.
