Kia ora Whānau,

What a busy week we have had! It was so amazing to see everyone get into Wacky Hair Tuesday. Our council decided to hold Wig Wednesday on Tuesday as we had some learners up at Remarkables on the NZSki camp. There were so many fun and wacky hair styles and crazy outfits too! We managed to raise a huge amount of $627.20 which will go directly towards supporting Kiwi kids with cancer, and their families, through the toughest time in their lives. Thank you to everyone who was able to show their support.

I was also blown away by one of our School Council members who decided to go the extra mile in shaving all of his long hair off in support of these children and their families. Weston raised an additional $240.00 from family, friends and teachers, we are so proud of your manaakitanga Weston!

This week we have had lots of groups of Deputy Principals come and visit as there has been a Principal's conference in town this week. These Deputy Principals have been impressed with the design of our school and the use of our flexible spaces and learning programmes here. We are so proud to show and share all the amazing learning happening through our teachers with your children.

Thanks to the parent helpers for being able to help with the ski camps so far this Term. Year 4 and 5 are up there next week, so fingers crossed for a bit more snow!

It was great to see so many parents, corporate sponsors and local businesses at our Jacks Point Charity Golf Tournament on Thursday. Despite some challenging weather at the start, it was fantastic to get out and see the players and teams having a fun and sociable time. If you didn't get a team in this year, or haven't played at Jacks before, we hope to see you out next year.

There is so much mahi and organisation going on in the background from our Friends of School, collaborating with Remarkable Primary Parents Association, to make this event a fun and extremely beneficial event. Thank you!

Thank you also to all the parents and Whānau that came for our Whānau Conversations this week. It is a great opportunity to explore your child's learning space and for them to share and celebrate their learning with you.

Ngā mihi nui!
