The Blue Project Enviro Movie
On Thursday, the Year 6 and 7 Enviro group got to visit Shotover Primary school to watch The Blue Project Movie.
It was created around their concern for the plastic issues in the oceans of the world. The audience was made up of students from different schools around the Wakatipu basin. They got to meet and question one of the movie creators and a microbiologist, who has been working alongside the movie team.
It has inspired us to look at what we can do as a school community to make changes that can reduce our plastic use. For example as a school we opted not to order glue sticks in our stationery packs and use old fashioned paste instead!
So keep up the plastic free lunch boxes and chat with your children about what else you can do to reduce plastic.
