Hope Hapori

This week we read a story called ‘You Must Bring a Hat’ by Simon Philip. It was a funny book with lots of interesting words in it. Each time we read it, our teachers wore a different hat! We have also been making hats for animals and today we have a fun Hat Day!

Year 4 have been learning about measurement. They’ve looked at measuring mass and volume. We’ve encouraged the children to look around their homes and find tools that help to measure things. Doing some baking and cooking would be a wonderful way to build on this. Ask your children to measure liquids and solids carefully, and also to notice grocery items and how much they weigh or the volume of them.
