We are excited to be teaching collaboratively in a new space this year! Our first few weeks will be getting to know each other and building connections, including going on a sailing trip in week 2.

As we move on through term 1 our inquiry will be looking at identity- and looking at the paths and voyages that we have taken to get here.

Room 2 with Mr T:

Kia ora, I am excited to be teaching at Te Oraka this year. This is my first year here so I am looking forward to exploring this fantastic school and making the most of the opportunities on offer. Working as part of a collaborative team will ensure our learning community will be exposed to a range of different learning and teaching styles which will benefit us all. I look forward to working alongside the students in Room 2 and 3.

Room 3 with Whaea Laura:

This is my second year teaching and I am very excited to be back at Te Oraka with all of my class from last year, now as year 8s! I am looking forward to working collaboratively with Room 2 and see some of my students from last year take the step up as leaders in the school, as well as meet all the new students in Room 2 with us.
