Brian Brain, idioms and parkour
'Brain like a seive', a 'no-brainer' and to 'rack your brain' are all idioms. An idiom is a group of words, or in other words, a phrase that has a meaning different from the literal meaning of the words in it. Brain includes the word rain, while Brian is a name. Parkour is a sport of moving along a route, trying to get around or through various obstacles in the quickest and most efficient manner possible, as by jumping, climbing, or running
We have been doing a variety of learning in Room 5.
We are learning about the composition and functions of the different parts of the brain and we are discovering that our 'Brian Brains' are fascinating organs. There is a lot to learn!
We have made brain hats that have helped us to understand what is happening on the 'inside'.
