Digital Waitaha- Whānau Evening

Tamara Drew —

Next week- Tuesday 20th February, 6pm-7pm in Room 1

Next week, our students will be learning how to stay safe online. Through the Digital Waitaha programme, students are empowered to be in control of their digital wellbeing, safety, and mental health using the strategy 'Stop, Block and Talk.' We all see and read things on social media that we know are not okay. Our aim is to have our students, teachers and parents all using the same strategy to empower students to know what to do.

We invite you to come along to learn this strategy and to hear what our students are finding challenging about being online. We are able to supervise school aged children and are providing sausages and bread so that you don't need to worry about dinner before you come. Year 8 students are encouraged to come along with their whānau. Please RSVP using Hero or email tamarad@sis.school.nz.
