Te Oraka Kapa Haka is introduced by their emcee before their entrance to the stage at the Tūhono Competition. Pride and Passion in abundance.

"Te Oraka e tū!" started this year's programme at the Tūhono Kapa Haka competition held at the Town Hall on Saturday 23rd. Te Oraka had practised and refined their movements and sweetened their singing for this moment. Eight minutes to show four judges what we were capable of. The applause from the audience spurred on the team.

Te Oraka managed to secure the best male and female leader trophies, the best male speech and best uniform. Staff and parents are extremely proud of them.

Kapa Haka is now finished for the year at Te Oraka and we are looking forward to the opportunities that await us in 2025.
