Kī-o-Rahi - Traditional Māori Games
Rm 12 in action at their first Kī-o-Rahi session last week, delivered by Anish from Kelly Sports.
This term, our Y5-8 tamariki will be involved in this unique programme that brings Te Reo out of the classroom and into active play.
Throughout the programme the children will not only learn how to play the game but also the background and history to the game.
Kī-o-Rahi is a ball sport (the ball known as the kī), which is a combination of netball, handball, and tag rugby.
