Audio Books
Do you have wonderful memories of being read to as a child?
Audiobooks are a brilliant resource for all readers but can be especially beneficial for reluctant readers.
Exploring audiobooks is a great way to:
- develop an appreciation for books (which will hopefully get students into reading independently down the track)
- expose children to stories above their decoding reading level but more in line with their interest or comprehension level
- develop vocabulary and awareness of genre
- develop students' memory
- and lots more!
