Cyclone Gabriel Letters

Lou Fulton - March 20, 2023

Room 4 wanted to do something for the children of Hawkes Bay who had been affected by the Cyclone. Mrs Fulton used to teach in Napier and her friend is still a teacher of a Year 2 class there.

So, we made them personal cards and sent lovely messages to Room 3 at Nelson Park School. The children showed so much empathy when we talked about the cyclone and what some families had lost.

When the cards finally arrived at Nelson Park School, the children were so delighted and couldn’t work out how we knew all their names!

Well done Room 4 for filling other children’s buckets. You showed our school value of CARE.

Here is the class receiving their lovely cards.
