2023 Leavers
I often extoll the virtue of having Year 7&8's school. I believe they create an important and valuable dynamic. Each year I say we have a very special bunch of seniors and each year we do!
In preparing to farewell our Year 8 graduates, we also acknowledge that we have some children who will leave at the end of Year 6 for alternative learning opportunities and others across the school who may be relocating. Whoever you are - you have been a valued part of Te Puna School life and we wish you well.
A key image in our vision is a Waka starting a journey at a spring and journeying along a river of learning before entering a harbour. Metaphorically, our seniors have travelled that river, many of them since age 5, learning to Aim High, Give it a Go, Be Heard, Care, Be Yourself, and to Honour our Heritage. They are about to enter a big wide harbour and we are confident that they have collected skills and attributes that will enable them to flourish in their next years of learning and beyond.
It is important also, to acknowledge the families that have now completed their journey with us. You have been instrumental in shaping your child, their friends, their school, and their community. We appreciate and value the support that you have given.
The following families, represented by their youngest child leaving, include: Tyrese Barnes, Cash and Charlie Chesham, Addison de Koster, Alex Harrison, Darius and Divan Kemp, Dayton Kerr-Davis, Gabriella Korewha, Lauren Mason, Chloe Pinkerton, Ayla Radley, Mangu Schuster, Anahera Smith, Macrae Strahan, Lachlan Stripling, Elia Vukona and Lyan Tuhakaraina.
