Daniel, Lachlan, Dayton, William, Hollie and Elia qualified from the Tall Poppies competition a week earlier to compete at the zones at The Domain on Wednesday.

Congratulations to all of our students on qualifying for the zones athletics, they competed against a mix of 13 colleges and full primary schools.

William Brown placed 2nd in Y8 Boys High Jump, clearing 1.49m, 1st place set a new record of 1.57m.

Daniel Addidle placed 3rd in the 800m just behind past pupil Logan Pinkerton, and Willam placed 8th.

Daniel placed 4th in the 1500m. Congratulations to past pupil, Logan Pinkerton who won the race.

Dayton placed 5th in the Y8 Boys 200m final.

Lachlan placed 5th in Y8 boys long jump with a jump of 4.61m.

New Record set

Joseph Kava (Katikati College) broke the  Year 7 Boys Shot Put record with a throw of 11.98m 

(previously 10.18m set by Kereama Kiwi from Te Puna in 2012)
